Canon 50mm F1.8 II using Pixco EOS-NEX FE AF adapter

The above is the test results of my camera and lens combination. It is the best resolution that I can get but it is disappointing but not unexpected. Dxomark tests had shown similar results using similar lenses and sensor combinations.

It is autofocus but slow since it has to do some hunting unlike my kit zoom lens.
 
The conclusion is that the pancake 16mm-50mm lens that comes with the A5100 is just as good as a prime lens unless we want a faster lens at F1.8. That is why I bought prime lenses. All of them must have  maximum apertures of better than F2.8, or focal lengths wider or narrower than the 16mm - 50mm.

Xiaomi has more than 40 or 4,000 pixel per vertical, 16 Mp square. Xperia and iPhone with their 12 Mp sensors, only achieve 22 or 2,200 lines per vertical, 4.84 Mp square. Iso12233 can only measure up to 16 Mp resolution, but it is obvious that Redmi Note 8 Pro is capable of higher resolution. The rule of thumb is that, the output resolution is half of the sensor resolution, so 12 Mp sensors can output at most 6 Mp. So 64 Mp should output 32 Mp provided its lens is properly matched. Without any confirmation of the lens and sensor matches for the latest 200 Mp sensors, I am reluctant to buy any of the 200 Mp capable mobile phones. Reviewers do not help either.

Heavily processed Sony A100 10Mp DSLR raw files. Taken using Canon EOS 40D 10Mp DSLR fixed with a Vivitar 2.8mm f1.9 ailing lens. There are a lot of fungus inside the lens. I managed to clean a little of it but much still remains. The exposure was little processed from the original raw file.

Mobile LED Flash light is the best Microscope light

It has a rechargeable battery. I kept it for a few years inside a refrigerator until the battery was flat but once recharged, it still works. It has 3 settings which came in handy because at the highest setting it is too bright for the 10x objective lens but slightly dark for the 100x objetive. I have actually ordered 30W LED floodlights but it may be too bright for the microscope, except for the 100x objective.
