Microphotography using an industrial 5Mpixel camera
My microscope is a professional one but old fashioned. I bought it many years ago, for US100 from Aliexpress. Now, this model is not for sale but an equivalent is still available, costing about US100 also. I also bought recently a student version with a maximum objective of less than 40x, because it is not capable of oil immersion but its tube is too short and its stage is too small to accommodate a micro adjustable stage. It will be too difficult to move the glass slides. However, the student microscope comes with 5 sample glass slides. Another potential problem is the lack of a condensor in the lighting system. The student microscope only comes with a mirror, because it is not designed for the 100x oil immersion objective. As a rule of thumb, the maximum magnification of an objective is 1000x its N.A., numerical aperture. The 100x is 1.2, 40x is 0.65, the 10x is 0.25. Based on the pictures taken, it was not clear when I u
